The Mystery of Relationships
A weekend workshop on Process Oriented Relationship Work
with
Silvia Camastral Ph.D
This training workshop is for anybody who is interested in learning and expanding their skills of relationship work, both as personal growth and professionally in their counselling practice.
- We will be studying theoretical and practical methods of relationship work, levels of interventions and relationship dynamics.
- Saturday morning will focus on the intrapersonal aspects of relationships; Saturday afternoon will focus on the communication and relevant background issues, between people. On Sunday we will look at life myth patterns and deeper levels of awareness and sentient experiences.
- Through discovering and unfolding our own relationship patterns we will discover the impasses that seem to separate us and the deeper aspects that connect us.
- We will touch upon the impact of our social realities and marginalization, on our relationships. The deeper exploration of issues such as class, racial and ethnic background, sexual orientation, gender, religion, education wakes us up to deeper diversity in ourselves and with each other.
- We will learn skills and micro skills to deepen relationship interactions in order to find more meaning and understanding, as well joy in them.
- Through case studies, viewing of video sections and through practical exercises we study signals and highlight systemic interactions and dynamics.
- We will expand some issues on a deeper sentient level through movement and walking mediations.
Process Oriented Psychology (or Process Work), developed by Dr. Arnold Mindell, is holistic awareness method that sees the totality of a person’s experience as valuable, containing enriching material for our lives.
Process Oriented Psychology works systemically with relationships, seeing all interactions, but especially disturbances and marginalised experiences, as containing potentially meaningful messages for the relationship.
Process Work aims to explore issues on various levels of awareness; through dialogue, working with projections, role-play, exploration of dreams, and through sentient meditation methods.
Process work looks at relationships as a learning process and a path to connect with our deeper personal meaning and life myth that is created by our dreaming process.
